Additional Title Listings

The Bret King series-by Dan Scott

1. Mystery of Ghost Canyon (1960)

The books were targeted at a slightly older audience. They are similiar in writing style to the Hollister books, but speak mainly to a teenage audience. Set in New Mexico, the events take place at Rimrock Ranch. In essence, the adventures of a modern cowboy and his friends. Published by Grossett & Dunlap under the pseudonym of Dan Scott. Like the Hollister series, these had editions with pictoral covers as well as dust jacket editions. This information was obtained with the help of Linda Burns.

The Tolliver Family-by Alan Stone

1. The Mystery of the Lost Pony (1967)
2. The Mystery of Pirate Island (1967)
3. The Mystery of the old Jalopy (1967)

I'm told that these books are similiar to the Hollister books, with the main difference being that the Tolliver family is African-American. There are 5 children in this series as well. Dealers consider this series to be rare. It was published by World under the pseudonym of Alan Scott. These were published with pictoral covers. The information on this series was obtained with the help of Linda Burns.

The page is called The Hardy Boys "Canon" in case you are interested in other authors for the Hardy Boy series. I'd also like to thank the owner of this page for making the information available.

**The outlines marked with the two asteric symbol were written by both Andrew Svenson AND Harriet Adams.
