Jerry
West is a pseudonym (pen name), and the Hollister series was written by
a man named Andrew Svenson (1910 - 1975).
Andrew
Svenson had six children and the Happy Hollisters were based on his own
family.
The
series was produced by Stratemeyer Syndicates (who also produced the
Nancy Drew series, the Hardy Boy series, the Tom Swift series, etc).
When
they first came out, one could get them monthly as part of a
subscription plan. I'm told that they ranged in price from
$1.00 to $1.50!
The
series was illustrated by Helen S. Hamilton
There
are 18 chapters in each book.
